The Zune should have a 30GB drive, black, brown, and cotton color options, FM tuner, 13 first party accerrories available at launch and a 50% larger screen than the iPod with video (making it 3.75-inches if you're talking diagonal, and not areal). Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on Tuesday heralded a new strategic alliance with telecom equipment maker Nortel, formed to pursue an ambitious goal.
Microsoft and Nortel aim to get companies to replace their old land-line phones with voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) systems -- and do it fast, Ballmer said in an interview.
Ballmer predicted that corporations will swap at least half their analog phones for VoIP connections within five years. "I actually believe it'll be quite a bit higher than that. But, hey, that's me," Ballmer told USA...

Skype has grown in popularity since its launch, and recent moves like allowing free calling within the US and Canada have served to entice even more users into giving the VoIP service a shot. The limiting factor, of course, is that users are tethered to their PCs or the range of special cordless phones designed to work with the service.
