Japan's Matsushita company unveiled a robotic suit, eyed to be marketed in two years, that will help people who are partially paralyzed rehabilitate the rest of their bodies.
When a person who suffered a stroke moves his or her active arm while wearing the suit, the paralyzed other arm will make the same motion by stretching and bending compressors that act as muscles.
By repeating the arm movements, the person wearing the robotic suit can train to regain use of his or her limbs, the designer said.

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Wednesday it will launch the world's first Blu-ray DVD recorders in Japan on Nov. 15, rising to do battle with High-Definition DVD, a rival format.
Both are vying to become the standard for next-generation DVDs, touting higher-quality graphics that stand out especially on larger TVs.
The DMR-BW 200 will retail for about 300,000 yen and the DMR-BR 100 for roughly 240,000 yen, the company said.

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Tuesday it has begun recalling 6,000 lithium-ion batteries used in Panasonic-brand notebook computers in Japan on concerns they might overheat.
The recall of the batteries for Let's Note CF-W4G notebook PCs only affects Japan, said company spokesman Akira Kadota.

Matsushita and three other Japanese electronics makers plan to develop a join standard for new Internet televisions that will make it easier for people to see video available on the Web.
The Internet TVs will features a remote control that allows online access with the touch of a button and will also eliminate the need for a personal computer keyboard to make the gadget more user-friendly.
