PCs to Run Mac OS X

According to the CNN article:

SWsoft's Beloussov says that this spring, Parallels will upgrade its software further, in a way that by coincidence will make it easier to run Mac OS on a non-Apple computer. He also insists that is not deliberate, but just a consequence of the nature of the technology, especially now that Intel (Charts) builds virtualization technology into its chips.

OSX runs good because it is matched to the hardware exactly as it should be. If MS built motherboards to the exact specs they wanted and you did not have to worry about 3rd party support then Windows would be as good as OSX...

OSX would have stability problems if it was let loose on the millions of differential pieces of hardware. For XP to work on almost any motherboard out is amazing by itself.

I agree, re: Wins being stable if they had control of the hardware ... but I think you're missing the point - people would want this to run Mac-only softwares (like Final Cut).

However, everyone is complaining that all the major softwares are basically only releasing PC-only software because they know serious mac users can run it using Parallels....
